At university, Pilates was the most valuable hour in my week.My tension was reduced and I would leave the class feeling refreshed and better able to carry out that day's tasks; on top of that I felt fitter, stronger and noticed an improvement in the other sports in which I took part. Neil and I have been having Reformer Pilates classes twice a week with Anissa for over a year and the difference in our core strength, posture and all round flexibility and fitness is remarkable. Both of us have had knee, shoulder and post-operative injuries and Anissa has worked our exercise regime to improve these 100 percent and we are both now as fit as we were ten years ago! Anissa’s devotion to her craft and her intrinsic knowledge of the human body make her the Number One teacher of Pilates. Let me start by saying that fitness classes have always scared me and I have successfully avoided them for at least 10 years. While creating Bora’s website, however, I was intrigued and thought that it wouldn’t hurt to learn first hand about Anissa’s classes. I can’t express how glad I am that I took the plunge. The Bora Barre classes are hard and effective but have such a welcoming and low key vibe that you feel comfortable no matter the level of your fitness. Anissa is truly an expert and more than helpful to ensure I get most out of every class. One hour a week for my health and fitness with immediate results, right on my doorstep in Tunbridge Wells and with great company – there really isn’t an excuse not to do it.

I am 86 years of age and I’ve been coming to see Anissa for quite a long time now. She has done a marvellous job in keeping me on my feet. I have neuropathy in my legs and feet and she has been working with me on that and given me exercises I can do at home. I would say that she is terrific.
